What led you to this career field?
I enjoy translating my sales experience into the interviewing process, so our students can use these skills to get the job. Nailing the interview is so much about interpersonal communication and initial presentation. When I start working with students, I know they already have the technical skills; I get to teach them the how to close the deal.
How would you describe your relationships with students?
I try to be as visible as possible so they don’t see me as “the guy in the white shirt and tie”. I want them to know I’m receptive to working with them and coaching them in the right direction.
If you had to share a single piece of advice for prospective students, what would it be?
Believe in luck – but the definition of luck is where preparation meets opportunity. If Plan A doesn’t always work, it’s amazing how Plan B does when you stay the course of positive determination.
Share something unique about yourself you believe might help a student get to know you outside of school.
Believe it or not, I was born and raised in Colorado and I have never been skiing!
