Press Release – For Immediate Release
Colorado Springs, Colorado – Students and faculty at IntelliTec College spent the month of October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month – with weekly activities and events to spread the word about this devastating illness.
In the first week of October, IntelliTec College students in Colorado Springs were asked to write letters to friends and family members who are battling, or have previously battled with, breast cancer. Those letters were displayed around campus to serve as a constant reminder of what this month is all about.
During the second week, the school held a “Pink Day” in which everyone on campus wore something pink to show their support for those affected by Breast Cancer.
The following week, pink bracelets and pens were sold in the TEC Cafe student and faculty lounge, and proceeds were sent to a local breast cancer charity.
To finish off a stellar month of breast cancer awareness, IntelliTec College took part in the Manitou Springs Halloween Coffin races. IntelliTec entered 3 coffins in the race that had been painted with Breast cancer Awareness for all to see.
Every year IntelliTec College finds more ways to show their support and bring awareness for Breast Cancer to those who may not be so aware. They hope to raise even more awareness for this illness in the future.[boilerplate about-colo-springs]
