Press Release – For Immediate Release
Colorado Springs, Colorado –IntelliTec College’s relatively new Personal Trainer program has already enrolled over 50 students. In addition to quality instructors and a partnership with NASM, the program attributes its success to a variety of highly specialized equipment. Equipment like the Polar BodyAge computer system, MYZONE heart rate monitor and Functional Movement Systems muscle tracking work together to give the students a thorough, advanced training experience they need to make it in the fitness career field.
This variety of equipment takes personal training education to the next level by mixing an advanced depth of knowledge in with the physical activities. The Polar BodyAge is a highly advanced computer system that assesses a person’s biological age versus their chronological age. This will tell a person if their health assessment says they are younger or older than they actually are. The MyZone heart rate monitor has now been joined with the Polar GX Heart Rate system, which allows instructors to compare class heart rates on a projector as a group. Functional Movement Systems is a way to evaluate muscles during movement to assess tightness and limitations.[boilerplate 1-caption-insert-before]Personal Training program floor instruction at IntelliTec College in Colorado Springs[boilerplate 2-caption-insert-after][boilerplate 3-image-insert-after]
Program supervisor Chip Huss said, “The program is going fantastic! Student attendance is exceptional and this is a testament to the richness of the classroom and gym time content.” Three new instructors have been added to the team; Mr. John Richardson, Dr. Nancy Bergquist and Mrs. Laura Gallant are now on hand to help challenge and motivate students.
The Personal Trainer program students and faculty are looking forward to October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when they will wear pink and sell bracelets for the cause. There will be future opportunities for staff and students of this program to volunteer or compete to help their local community.[boilerplate about-colo-springs]
