The luncheon was held on June 24th before Fan Fest at the PPIR (Pikes Peak International Racetrack) and came complete with professional catering and guest speakers. IntelliTec Donates Car Show Proceeds to PPIHC Historical Association
Just a week earlier, on June 17th, IntelliTec held its 3rd annual Everything Automotive Cool Car Show at the Colorado Springs campus automotive facility, located at 2206 East Pikes Peak Ave. Approximately 100 cars were shown this year, and they anticipate even higher numbers next year.
IntelliTec matched all the proceeds from the car show and donated them to the PPIHC Historical Association. Their primary function is to protect and preserve history, artifacts and memorabilia from the Hill Climb event. They currently operate out of a mobile museum, which is taken to events all over the region, but their ultimate goal is to open a permanent museum in the Colorado Springs area.
Giving Back to Colorado Springs Organizations
IntelliTec College considers it very important to compile information about the history of the city and its most unique events, such as this one, and it is dedicated to helping the PPIHCA achieve their goal. IntelliTec staffer Paula Ricchi adds about the race, “There is nothing like it anywhere else in the world.”
