Just a reminder that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and though we are nearing the end of the month, it’s important to remember those that have and are currently struggling with this horrible disease.
IntelliTec College in Colorado Springs has participated in raising funds for Breast Cancer Awareness for the past four years. All proceeds will go to the Avor Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
“October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and pledge sheets have been given out to the program supervisors in hopes of a campus wide fund raiser. The department with the most money collected will be treated to lunch with our very own campus director Ray Ada! To encourage participation with the students, Admissions will be selling jeans passes for $2, donate to wear jeans to class!” – Kim Templin, Admissions Representative at IntelliTec College in Colorado Springs.
Update: Last Chance to raise money for Walk-a-thon and Jeans Pass
The Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser & Walk-a-thon is almost at an end. Please turn in donations to program supervisors, Randy Flynt, Adrienne Johnson or Kim Templin by tomorrow morning for the final count. Tomorrow is also the last day to wear jeans, so purchase your $2 pass today from Kim in Admissions and then join in on the Solidarity walk around Prospect Lake in Memorial park tomorrow at 1pm.
Campus director Ray Ada says “The campus departments have really stepped up this year, with the most money collected since we began. Currently, the College has raised $3,000.00 thus far.” Some departments have had bake sales or beef jerkey sales in an effort to donate towards the cause.
