Wait List for Fast-Track Cosmetology Certification Program
At IntelliTec College it takes 15 months to begin a creative career in the beauty industry with its cosmetology certification preparation program. The curriculum teaches modern skills and techniques needed to provide services in hair, skin care, makeup, and nails.
The cosmetology certification preparation program is extremely popular. “We’ve had [positive] response to this new… program,” states Director of Marketing Stacey Snyder.
Stateboard of Cosmetology Licensing
To become a Colorado licensed cosmetologist, applicants must take the Colorado State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists licensure exams. IntelliTec prepares its students to take these exams. Students must also complete the required number of credit hours – which IntelliTec’s cosmetology program provides – to apply for a license and begin work as a cosmetologist.
Cosmetologists are in growing demand.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the cosmetology and hair fields is expected to grow at least 20% by 2018.
“About 44 percent of all barbers, cosmetologists, and other personal appearance workers are self-employed‚” states the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This program gives students the tools they need to build a salon or spa business of their own.
Newly Built, Custom-Designed Cosmetology School Facilities
“IntelliTec College’s (spacious) cosmetology facility has been specially designed for a modern, full service cosmetology school and salon‚” comments Marketing Director Stacey Snyder.
The equipment includes 36 hi-tech custom styling stations, state-of the-art hair washing stations, 2 European Touch pedicure stations, 8 manicure stations, 2 esthetician rooms with electronic skin care systems, a color bar, dispensary/storage room, a laundry room and a locker room.
Specialized Training and Experienced Instructors
Each Cosmetology program instructor is chosen for his or her expertise in a specific area of the industry. For example, Program Supervisor Terre Heath is a salon owner and working cosmetologist, accomplished Redken specialist, and Summit Salon Business College alumni. She also has experience with manicuring, esthetics, waxing, and all areas of hair.[boilerplate about-pueblo]
