Computer Networking Program Spotlight 

The Computer Networking Systems Technology program helps provide students going into the IT industry with the skills necessary to be able to support computer systems. Students learn how to repair and maintain computer network systems as well as build and maintain reliable IT resources with security in mind.

Students in the CNST program focus in on these types of jobs:

• Computer Systems Technician
• Network Technician
• Client/Server Systems Administrator
• Helpdesk Support Representative

As an official CompTIA Authorized Academy, students in the CNST program prepare for the CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+, as well as for Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, BICSI, and other exams that they elect to pursue. Certification is at the very heart of the program with almost every class tuned to a certification goal of some type.

CNST originates with the very first programs at IntelliTec College, back in the TTI days with the original Electronics and Electronics Engineering programs. As the college grew and changed, the Electronic Service Technician program changed to Microcomputer Service Specialist, to Software Development and Network Technician, to Computer Office Technology and Network Systems Administrator. Eventually, the program melded to Computer & Networking Systems Administrator (CNSA) and in 2009, it became CNST.

CNST Program Recognized

CNST is the one of IntelliTec’s most progressive program, with changes occurring as quickly as technology changes. In fact, the latest iteration of CNST has been approved, CNST12, which incorporates script programming and Cisco technologies, are key elements to the program.

As a culture, CNST is a tight-knit group of students who learn from each other, as well as the CNST Cadre, a group of heavyhitting veteran IT professionals that possess over a century of IT experience, in every operating environment imaginable. CNST produces graduates who have gone on to some very exciting (and in some cases), lucrative career paths.
