Cosmetology is a continually growing career field filled with several life-altering opportunities. At IntelliTec College, students will develop the necessary skills through hands-on training to function effectively as an entry-level cosmetologist in either a team or independent setting. Graduates will be capable of performing a wide range of salon services including all aspects of hairstyling, professional facial and skin management, and nail care. In addition, students will also gain an understanding on the business side of cosmetology with an emphasis on best business practices, marketing and sales.

Students perform professional salon services in our Cosmetology Salon, under the supervision of instructors. This gives students real-world experience in a professional atmosphere while giving clients affordable, high quality services.

Our Cosmetology program will help you gain the knowledge and needed skills to be a successful cosmetologist. Upon graduation from IntelliTec's Cosmetology program, you will be prepared to sit for the required Colorado State Board of Cosmetology Exam to successfully certify yourself as a full-time, career-ready cosmetologist.

Job Outlook
Job prospects. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of cosmetologists, barbers and other beauty workers is expected to grow much faster than the average job rate for all occupations through 2018 with the amount of growth varying by specialty. Esthetician and skin care specialist jobs are projected to grow faster through 2018 than most other cosmetology careers requiring postsecondary education.
