IntelliTec College Students and Staff Serve the Medical Community

March 13th and 14th was the Mesa County Health Fair. Eighteen IntelliTec College medical assistant students came out to volunteer at the Health Fair and completed blood draws.
On Friday, the IntelliTec medical assistant students and the medical Instructors performed approximately around 1100 blood draws for Health Fair customers.
Later that month, St. Mary's Blood Mobile was on the Grand Junction campus for blood donations.
Between students, staff and faculty, IntelliTec College was able to donate 43 pints of blood to the blood bank to be used in the Grand Valley. According to www.blooddrivenj.com, one pint of blood from a single donor may save three lives.
