Colorado Springs, Colorado
June 9, 2010

Colorado Springs, CO- IntelliTec College is hosting its 2nd Annual Everything Automotive Cool Car Show. This free family event includes the following free activities: chair massage, kids jump house, face painting, food, car show, pedal go carts, and campus tours. It is to be held on Friday June 18 from 4 p.m - 6:30 p.m. at the IntelliTec College automotive training facility located at 2206 Pikes Peak Avenue. The event is open to the public with free admission.

As a sponsor of the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, this family event at IntelliTec is positioned as the kickoff to this historical road race’s Speed Week. To share the excitement and to get the community involved, The Peak Auto Hill Climb Education Museum will be present as well as several PPIHC competitors. Some of the most notable are 18 time winner and only racer Sports Hall of Famer – Leonard Vasholtz; the youngest driver to ever participate in the PPIHC - Savannah Rickli; and last year’s ATV class champion Jim Vidmar. Drivers will be available for photo and autograph opportunities. What’s more, the event features everything automotive – from racing to classics! Vehicles scheduled to show include but are not limited to: Dragsters, Funny cars, Classic cars, Hornets, T-buckets, Motorcycles, Mini Stocks, Go Carts, ATVs, Rock Crawlers, Grand American Modified, Muscle cars, Sports cars, even an all Electric car…GO GREEN! Attendees 16 and older may enter all drawings to win free tickets to the PPIHC, El Paso County Speedway, I-25 speedway and pit passes to I-25 Speedway, Snap On tools, an IntelliTec Scholarship, and more! Vehicle entered will be judged by the attendees to see which three are the COOOLEST! There will also be a table for those that want to support the Avon Walk for the Cure.

As PPIHC is the second oldest road race in the county, IntelliTec College has chosen to support the PPIHC’s Over The Hill Gang. This group of dedicated individuals was founded to support, protect and preserve the history and artifacts of the PPIHC through the maintenance of the educational museum.
