Campus Facilities
The Grand Junction campus occupies three modern, one-story buildings on Horizon Drive. They buildings provide 36,000 square feet of space and feature bright, spacious training areas for all programs.
The student commons area is a comfortable, relaxing environment that features an extensive technical library and well-stocked cafe/convenience store.
Classroom equipment is modern and includes an extensive selection of visual aids and education devices including Interactive Smart Boards and more than 175 computer systems running Windows and Microsoft Office
Career Training Programs: Facilities and Equipment
- Equipment specific to the Administrative Technology program includes Keyboarding Pro software, 10-key calculators featuring print capabilities and minimum 8 character displays, as well as access to common business machines including phone systems, fax machines, copiers, and filing cabinets. Extensive use of the college's computer system featuring Microsoft Office is employed.
- In the Dental Assistant program, students enjoy two fully operational treatment rooms (i.e. Dental Chair and unit, light and suctioning hand pieces), two dental X-ray machines, an automatic X-ray processor/developer unit, two composite curing light devices, an amalgamator, an ultrasonic machine, an autoclave, a study model trimmer, two lab vibrators, buffing and polishing wheel, a vacuum former, two X-ray viewing boxes, high speed hand pieces, a compressor system, a vacuum system, and a computer system with printer.
- Massage Therapists train in a lab and working clinic environment that features both portable and stationary massage tables and accessories, massage chairs, and a complete set of lotions and oils, aromatherapy, supplies, linens and towels, bolsters, assorted videotapes, and a laundry.
- Medical Assistant students are prepared in a classroom and clinical lab environment equipped with syringes, needles, a Centrifuge, a Microhematocrit, Glucometers, EKG machines, a hospital bed, exam tables, a Spirometer, an Autoclave, a sedimentation rate rack, a hemoglobin meter, Anatomy Charts, Anatomy Virtual CD, Mosby's Medical Dictionary, Physician Desk References, gram stain supplies, microscopes, Otoscopes, sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, an incubator, an audiometer, a baby scale, an adult scale, Hemocytometers, alcohol lamps, a refrigerator, transcription machines, CPT and ICD-9 code books.
- Automotive Technicians train in an environment that features ATech automotive trainers - used extensively among dealers and throughout the automotive industry - in a simulated shop and classroom environment using hand tools and diagnostic equipment commonly found throughout the industry. The program also boasts a full-featured automotive shop area for real-life hands-on experience.
