Military Benefits for College
If you are or have ever been a member of the U.S. Military forces, be sure to take advantage of your benefits for college:
- Most of IntelliTec College's programs are approved for the training of veterans.
- Each College maintains a veteran's official who is available to assist in the application process. Contact a Financial Assistance Representative for more information.
- Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP)
VRAP offers up to 12 months of training assistance to unemployed Veterans who are at least 35 but no more than 60 years old and are not eligible for any other VA education benefit program. The program is currently approved by Congress until March 2014.
GI Bill
The GI Bill is a Congressional bill enacted to help active military, veterans and their family members pay for higher education. It provides financial assistance toward education-related expenses such as tuition, books, supplies, housing allowances, etc.
REAP (The Reserve Education Assistance Program)
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, REAP is a program that "provides educational assistance to members of National Guard and reserve components – Selected Reserve and Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) – who are called or ordered to active duty service in response to a war or national emergency as declared by the President or Congress."
