  • Describe your past education and career training. Graduated high school. Joined the Navy. Attended Universal Tech in Omaha Nebraska. Associates Degree from Metropolitan Technical College in Elkorn Nebraska in HVAC/R. Attended 7 different training classes for Sears in Chicago. I am HVAC Excellence certified in Air Condition and Heat pumps, Gas Heat, Electrical, Combustion Analysis, and Carbon Monoxide Safety.
  • Share something unique about yourself you believe might help a student get to know you outside school. I like old stuff like old cars anything mechanical.
  • Share a memorable moment/success story you/ve experienced at IntelliTec. Everytime I see a graduate in the field doing what they came to this school for.
  • What life or career advice would you offer to students about to graduate? What my father always said: 'Son, life is simple; it's either cherry red or midnight blue.' No one is going to give you anything in life - you have to work for it. If you are willing to work for it you can achieve anything.

Get to know Nate...

  • What is your past education and career training? I have an associate’s degree in Mechanical Principles and have attended several universities working on my bachelor’s degree in education. I spent ten years in the USAF as an HVAC technician.
  • What is it about this career field you enjoy so much? I enjoy the versatility and security that HVAC provides.
  • What would you tell a student who was on the fence about attending a program of study in your department at IntelliTec? The quality of our training is amazing, and HVAC is such a growing field. 50% of our training is hands on.
  • If you had to share a single piece of advice for prospective students in your department, what would it be? You can take a career in HVAC as far as you want to. This program is the beginning to a profitable and rewarding career.
  • Share something unique about yourself you believe might help a student get to know you outside of school. I have been married for 18 years and have two beautiful daughters. I also play the harmonica.
