You will receive real-world, practical experience in a practicing dental office or dental clinic. This dental assistant externship enables you to practice the skills you will have developed with your dental assistant training.
Prepare for Dental Assistant Certification
After you complete our Dental Assistant certificate program you could be prepared to sit for professional dental assistant certification exams including:
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) exam through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Two or three components of the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) exam
