How do you know if you are a community college person or a technical college person? Well, the first thing you should ask yourself is “What are the differences between the two?” Once you know that, you can weigh the pros and cons of each and figure out which one is going to fit your lifestyle the best.

Lucky for you we’ve already done the research and laid out the benefits of both community colleges and technical colleges in Colorado. We started by asking ourselves 3 basic questions for each type of college, and this is what we came up with.

  1. Who will do well in Community College vs. will do well in Technical College?

IntelliTec College’s Automotive Program Goes to High School

Grand Junction high school students at District 51 Career Center pass Snap-on 504 Meter Certification examination offered by IntelliTec College

Press Release – For Immediate Release

 Grand Junction, Colorado – The Automotive program at IntelliTec College recently offered an entry-level professional certification exam to local high school students at District 51 Career Center. Interested students took part in the free examination on February 12th. Over half of the students passed the exam and now have a head-start in the automotive career field.

District 51 is an alternative high school that specializes in teaching students a trade. This is why IntelliTec Automotive Technician Program Supervisor Mark Faudree offered this opportunity to their students. 30% of them, from freshman to seniors, expressed a strong interest in the automotive field. 30 students took the free Snap-on 504 Meter Certification examination, and 17 of them passed. IntelliTec College Student Ambassadors Help Feed Local Homeless

Press Release – For Immediate Release

Grand Junction, Colorado – IntelliTec College students participated in a new community outreach activity by feeding the hungry at a local homeless shelter shortly after Christmas.

The Student Ambassadors club at IntelliTec College came together to volunteer at the Homeward Bound homeless shelter on December 28th. 12 students, 3 of their family members and Dean of Students Shelby Maloney provided, prepared and served dinner for 150 people. (more…)
